Pakpatan Canal (Punjab)
Pakpatan canal is originated from Sulemanki Headworks from its right bank of the Sutlej River. It is used to irrigate the central Punjab region including Pakpatan, Sahiwal, and Multan.
Pakpattan is one of the ancient cities of Pakistan, located at a distance of 207km from Lahore and accessible through National Highway N-5 via Depalpur after turing to left before Okara.
Pakpattan is also known as the city of Baba Farid, a great Sufi saint, Pakpattan name is given by him the first time.
Malka Hans is the famous ancient town in Pakpattan and famous for the origin of Heer Waris Shah Book.
