Bahrain

Bahrain is a hill station located in Swat district of KPK 60 km North of Mingora at an elevation of 4700 ft on the right bank of Swat River. It is named Bahrain due to its location at the confluence of the Daral and Swat rivers. It is known for its riverside tourist resorts, local handicrafts, and its view of the confluence of the Daral and Swat Rivers.

Basecamp for Daral Lake

Bahrain also serves as a base camp for the trail that leads to the Daral and Sadie lakes. These are the best hiking places for adventure-loving tourists. A trek along the Darel River passing through dense pine forest leads toward the lake. One the opposite side of the Swat River, there is also a easy hiking trek for easy going tourists. It gives a panoramic and beautiful view of the Bahrain town.

Talking about the history of Bahrain, it is an ancient cultural city with the finest culture usually experts in drawing, architecture, musical instruments and many delicious cuisines. In early historical days, many khalifas come and rule the Bahrain city. Now it becomes a famous tourist point due to its splendid beauty of mountainous landscape where nature touches the sky. There will be splendid view of the Swat River on the back side of these hotels.

In the peak season, Bahrain becomes over-crowded and heavy price will be charged even for a normal room. In that case, one can stay just before Bahrain in the town of Madyan. There, one can get luxurious rooms at very low cost and also enjoy best quality trout fish.
