Passu
Passu is a small village located on the Hunza River at an elevation of 8,117 feet at the distance of 150 km from Gilgit on the Karakoram Highway. It is one of the beautiful valley of Gojal Upper Hunza and famous for the magnificent and panoramic view of Passu Cones from the KKH.
Passu Village
From the Gulmit, the head-quarter of Upper Hunza, one have to drive 20 km on the main Karakoram Highway. As one have crossed the sweeping bend in the highway near Hussaini village, beauty of Passu village started. The multi-pointed granite crowns of the Cones is suddenly appeared the horizon in front you. Now every moment is photographic moment that you never want to miss in camera's lens.
Passu village touches with the Passu Glacier one side and the Batura Glacier on the other side. Batura Glacier is the 7th longest non-polar glacier in the world that can be seen directly from the highway.
Main Attraction - Passu Cones
Passu Cones, also known as Passu Cathedral or Tupopdon, is the main attraction of the Passu village. It is group of several sharp-edged jagged granite spires and collectively called as Passu Cones. It stands at an elevation of 20,033 feet in the north of the Passu village just near the KKH. Every tourist can enjoy the splendid viewpoints of Passu Cones just near the Karakoram highway. Due to its beauty and ease of access, every visitor get its picture and selfies. Several professional photographers spend whole day to get best view of the different part of the day. Passu Glacier Trek
Passu Glacier trek is major adventure in the village. Passu Glacier is a massive and fast-moving glacier due to climate change in the region. It can also been see from the main highway. A short one-hour trek to Passu Glacier starts from the village. It gives various stunning panoramic views glacier as well as the Passu Cathedral. After the hiking over the loosely patches of moraine merging with the glaciers and finally reach on the crevasses of the white icy ledges.
Passu Suspension Bridge
Passu Suspension Bridge, is a classic wire-and-wood suspension bridge over the Hunza River. It would the most thrilling moments to cross the bridge by balancing the foot over the hanging wooden plunks. One must wear the sturdy footwear to have a good grip over the bridge. One must be careful while putting foot over the plunks , one mistake will make you the part of the Hunza River.
Apricot Juice and Yak Burger in Passu

As i visited Passu cones, i just loved the way that they looked extremely beautiful infront of the main road to Passu . They look skiny colored cone shaped giving a peaceful vibes. they came before the Atabad lack.
