Gattian Lake

Gattian Lake is located near Kaghan Valley in Neelum Valley, Azad Kasmir, at an altitude of 12,000 feet above sea level. The lake is at the distance of 2 km from Ratti Gali Lake on its backside mountain. It is alphine glacier lake, and the main source of water of this lake is from the glaciers on surrounding mountains.

It will be accessed from Dowarian Village toward Ratti Gali Lake for 3 to 4 hours trekking trek. Trek is full of greenery and beautiful scenic views. Jeep is also available to get near to Ratti Gali within an hour. After reaching Ratti Gali Lake, you need to cross the mountain in front of it by crossing Gattian Pass to access Gattian Lake.

About Neelum Valley

Neelum Valley, a bow-shaped thickly forested region, is the last district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir in Pakistan, located at the distance of 100km from Muzzafarabad at an altitude of 5,299 feet. Its name is due to the Neelum River, flowing across the valley. Valley is divided among Pakistan and Indian held Kashmir, the LOC is normally moved along the Neelum River in this valley.
