Masjid-e-Shuhada

Masjid-e-Shuhada is situated on Mall road near Regal Chowk at 2 km from Lahore Museum. It was constructed in the memory of martyr of 1965 war between Pakistan and India. The entire mosque is under a large size dome on the pillars and a cone shaped minaret on its back side.

1965 War Memorial Importance

Mosque has significance historical importance as memorial for the honor of the martyr of 1965 war between Pakistan and India. The memorial inscriptions is fixed inside the courtyard complex.

Modern Architecture

The mosque was constructed in a unique modern design with Islamic architecture. It has a single large size dome and cone shaped minaret on the backside. The entire prayer hall is almost under the large size dome and having the capacity of thousands of worshippers. White marble is used to decorate the exteriors of the mosque whereas interior is decorated with a large size of pendant light.

Timing to Visit

Mosque remains open all type and main hall is available for all five daily prayers time. There is a shoe counter outside the mosque to deposit shoes while entering in the prayer area.

Anarkali Bazaar and Lahore Mall Road

After visiting mosque, one may visit Anarkali Bazaar to observe the local markets and have some shopping. One may walk along the Lahore Mall Road to observe other British Era landmarks such as GPO and Lahore Museum buildings.
