Rana Resort
Rana Resort Park is public park for family near Head Baloki. The uniqueness of this park is the dense bamboo forest with shaded passage across the park. Another uniqueness is the carts with donkey, horse, and camel. People love to ride on these carts for their entertainment.
How to Access Rana Resort
Rana Resort, also known as Rana Luxury Resort & Safari Park, is located at a distance of 70 km from Lahore and can be easily accessed via N-5 Multan Road from Thokar Niaz Baig. After passing Manga Mandi, it leads toward Phool Nagar. Turn right from Bhai Pheru toward the Head Balloki to cross the Ravi River over the Barrage Bridge. Drive 5 km more after crossing the bridge to access the Park on your right side.
Purchase Entry Tickets
After park your vehicle, you have to purchase entry tickets from the main gate. Enter ticket is free for disables, students, or teachers, whereas others have to pay 100 rupee for entry ticket. A shaded passage of bamboo trees leads toward the center of the park. A walk through these shaded passages can increase oxygen level of your body.
Facilities in Rana Resort & Safari Park
Park offers lot of facilities such as mini-train ride, motorboating or paddle boating, swimming pools, and play areas. The artificial lake is just located along the right side of the main trek. It is also covered with the bamboo trees.
One can also enjoy the horse carriage ride or donkey cart ride through the deer safari park in the dense bamboo forest, where you can observe the brown deer and other wildlife along the trek. You can also explore the deep inside the bamboo forest to observe the wildlife more closely. Bicycle can also be hired to explore the deer safari spots inside the forest.
In the center of the park, there is a small zoo, where you can see ostriches and sanctuaries for other birds. There are small food stalls to purchase snacks or water bottles. A small café is also located near the ostrich enclosure, where you can purchase eatables and tea.
Huts are also available to have a night stay there to enjoy the evening with a local dining with bonfire and music. It will also provide an opportunity to enjoy the early morning moments in the park with fresh morning breezing.
Roadside Dining at Head Balloki
While returning from the park, you can have a short walk along the Balloki Barrage Bridge to get the wonderful views of sunset in the waters of the Ravi River. Finally, you can add value to your trip by dining in open-air roadside fish stalls at the end of headworks of Balloki. You will enjoy here the real fresh taste of Rahu fish picked from the Ravi River.
