Shogran, in Kaghan Valley, is a hill station situated in the midest of green pine trees at a height of 7,749 feet above sea level, at the distance of 34 km from Balakot, and 90 km from Abbottabad.
A jeep trek road, Shogran Road, turns to right after Kewai from main Kaghan Road - n15 toward Shogran valley. After 7 km driving, you will be in a wounderful valley of pine trees with cool and pleasant atmosphere, is called Shogran. From Shogran you can also visit other places such as Siri lake, Paye and Makra Peak. You can also get the view of those peaks from the Shogran in clear weather. Summer is the best place to visit, but heavy rain, and sometimes with hail storm, can be expected in moonsoon period. In winter due to heavy snow, it will be difficult to access the area.
