Hilly areas is normally composed of number of hills of different heights. Weather and temperature normally varies with the height of mountains and hills, as well as the landscape and structure of the hilly area. Some of the hilly areas having more height receive snowfall in winter too.
Hilly areas which received snowfall in winter are normally known as hill station. Weather is also pleasant in the summer season. These are the most frequent visiting places by the tourists.

Hill StationsMurree, an ideal and modern hill station, is situated on the Pir Panjal Range in Punjab at an altitude of 7,516 feet above sea level. It is located at a distance of 72 km from Rawalpindi through Islamabad-Murree Expressway - N75 and can be accessed easily from Rawalpindi and Muzzafarabad. It is the most famous and modern hill station in Pakistan.

It is also a place of different endangered species such as snow leopard, brown bear, and Marco Polo sheep, etc. It is clearly visible from Karakoram Highway and its viewpoint on Karakoram Highway, is located in the town of Ghulmat in Nagar Valley.

Hill StationsRawalakot, known as Pearl Valley, is located in Azad Jammu and Kashmir in the Pir Panjal Range at the elevation of 5,374 feet having a distance of 120 km from Rawalpindi via Kahuta on the Rawalakot Road. It is also accessible from Abbottabad by Sudhan Gali Road, then turns right on the Bagh Highway, and finally move on Rawalakot Road at Arja.
